The situation
EMC Notary is our own remote-notarization business (a notary who witnesses and certifies signatures over live video instead of in person). Rather than building automation tools only for clients, we run the business itself, booking, phone lines, our public web presence, and back-office operations, on the same kind of governed systems we sell. The build moved the business off a patchwork of disconnected tools and onto one system where the site, the phone line, the search presence, and the deploys are generated, monitored, and released the same way.
What we built
The public site is a registry-driven web application (meaning every page is generated from a single structured data source, not hand-edited page by page), deployed to our own hosted server behind a Cloudflare tunnel with a staging copy that mirrors production before anything ships live. A phone system built on WebRTC (a standard for real-time voice over the internet) handles the business line, with offline speech-to-text (a transcription engine that runs locally rather than sending calls to an outside service) logging calls. A Google Business Profile presence, the free listing that shows a business on Google Maps and search, is claimed, verified, and actively maintained rather than left dormant. An internal operations hub tracks bookings, SEO health, and site changes in one place.
Named approval gates
Every deploy runs through a health-gate and automatic-rollback pipeline (the release is checked against the live server immediately after shipping, and a failure reverts it without waiting for a person to notice), the same discipline as our client-facing work. A wiring-and-styling audit ("Action Bible") independently confirmed every user-facing action and every page across the site before we counted anything as done, rather than trusting that a build succeeded just because it compiled.

An Action Bible audit confirmed 13 of 13 user actions correctly wired and 90 of 90 pages styling-accounted, with the newest pages freshly screenshot-checked. The Google Business Profile listing was confirmed live on Google Maps with a verified, visually-confirmed 5.0-star rating. The business phone line was proven working end to end with a live test call after a routing fix.
What this means for your business
