Client engagement

A senior-care platform CTO engagement

A CTO engagement for a senior-care platform: a unified data platform across five or more departments and an AI assistant that cut patient-inquiry response time by 40 percent.

Era 5, care and health-adjacent systems · Delivered engagement

The situation

A senior-care platform brought in outside technology leadership to move from a manual, fragmented operating model to one built on real data and AI-assisted response, without losing the personal touch the business is built on. Getting there meant unifying the data first, then layering assistance on top, in that order, so the AI had something reliable to work from.

What we built

As the engagement’s technology lead, we architected a unified data platform connecting in-home IoT health devices, care management software, and patient engagement apps across five or more departments, replacing scattered systems with one coherent data layer. On top of that platform, we shipped an AI assistant that drafts responses to patient inquiries for a human team member to review and send.

The stack: a cross-platform mobile app, a cloud serverless backend, IoT device integration, and an AI-assisted inquiry-drafting layer with human review before any response goes out.

Verified results

  • 5+ departmentsunified onto one data platform
  • 40%cut in patient-inquiry response time
  • ~30%lift in delivery speed from OKRs and agile practices

The AI assistant cut patient-inquiry response time by 40%. Introducing OKRs and agile delivery practices lifted the team’s delivery speed by approximately 30%.

What this means for your business

The same discipline carries into a regulated, human-stakes domain: unify the data first, then let an AI assistant draft while a person still reviews and sends. Company and executive names are withheld here under client confidentiality; the figures come from the engagement’s own record.
